Will be doing this soon also. Had an energy audit done recently so just waiting on the report so I can get the rebate on the work - it's the one thing they pointed out on-site (since we knew the furnace was already a goner at 22 years).

I’m not sure if it’s still available from them, but I used Costco to have it done at my house. See if they have a flyer on the wall on your way out.

They use Northern Insulation, I am getting a quote from them also, just not thru Costco.

Well the pay back is going to take a while, to have my attic brought up to R60, proper ventilation and soffit baffles, etc , etc, $2,330.00, allot more than I had anticipated, but like everything else it has doubled in price !

Ouch, did you do an energy audit first?

^^^ No audit, but there were bare spots in my attic, & the balance of the insulation was flat ! we are doing it more for comfort , top floor is just too warm at night compared to the main floor ,it's gotta help !

Yes, I'm sure it will. I don't have bare spots but the 22-year old stuff has settled so recommendation is to add more back in.

Just had my post-audit done a couple weeks ago so waiting for the report in the new year. I asked them for leads for contractors who do attic insulations so hoping to get those by next week. Will post once I get quotes.

I qualified for the Enbridge Winterproofing program. Just had my attic blown in, and basement insulated following an energy audit. Cost me zero out of pocket.

Enbridge is administering but I'm certain it's taxpayer funded with several intermediaries getting their skim.

So to all the taxpayers, thanks!

I recycled a few of those statement inserts tonight - wouldn't qualify for them as they are age and income qualified programs.

I qualified thanks to divorce rape and covid shutdown of my business.

From all of us paying the carbon tax……. You’re welcome?

Amazing that one can be soooooooo against a government funded program, yet reap the benefits.

That selectivity has nothing to do with the program itself, just how a particular government tries to use it.
