I seem to have oil or something similar (thinking supercharger oil) leaking out at a slow rate at the bottom of the snout, behind the black pully mount. Im not too knowledgable with these blowers just yet, but I think that the jagged edge peice is some sort of snout seal retainer i guess you can call it, which just holds it all in? Whatever the case, what would cause a slow oil leak here? Bad snout seal? And if so, what do i need to replace this besides a new seal?

Whats up with the marks around the snout area? I see you've got a ported blower, has it just been done? Either way, snout needs to come off for inspection, strongly suggest you do not run the blower in that condition. Only takes one small bit of a bearing etc to see the blower destroyed and take out your engine.

Bought the blower used, and thats how it was behind the pully, perhaps from the original owner swapping pullies...blower was on another members car and had no issues but this was only seen once I pulled the pully off. So if I need to pull the snout, you mean the entire front assembly? Or just take that stupud black pully base off which I cannot do and check it out that way? lol

Yes base needs to come off to properly see whats transpired. May not be related to the marks, hard to say.

A lot going on in the snout, if you are not mechanically inclined find some who is. A few gears and couplers inside of there

How did you remove the pulley off of the snout?

I was lookingat the pics. On my tiny crapberry I see you have the interchangable hub on there. It looks like a press on pulley was removed by prying onit. Which is a big no-no onthe eatons and can stress the snout drive parts.

Yeah its a 4 allen bolt removal for the pully. Took it off as I was going to paint the blower, and noticed the oil.

Next question is, how the eff do I remove that pully base thing? Probably need a puller which i do not have. Anyone help me out?
