This is the guy you wanna have apply your Krown. He and the staff pay attention to the detail spots that really matter, well worth the drive.

Gonna try him out this time around , wasn't impressed that my rubber mouldings have turned to soggy pretzels after my last experience .

Well worth the drive to have it done properly by James and his crew.
Have already experienced the sub standard job the one more local to me does. :(

Had the 14 Fusion done here last week. Hopefully this car will last us a loooong time so gotta take care of her. First time doing krown and everyone tells me it's top notch when it's done right and you keep up with it every year.

Just a side note, James will also do just spot spray etc, for those that don't want everything done, my t-bird is getting inside fenders , doors and trunk , rockers, that's it, & he is just doing a mist spray, so it won't leak ( or at the least, very little) & no hole drilled, its a classic, a litttle work on my part, he told me what has to be removed so he can access, I don't want the sound proofing sprayed that Ford put on 48 years ago, just tell him what you want, and its done ! great folks to deal with !

They are supposed to pre spray with a silicone spray to prevent this from happening, I had my rubber replaced by Krown (Scar ) because of this !!!!

There is a good reason I make the drive to Ajax, applied properly each and every time. Get far too many rides in during the season that have been done elsewhere and the works sub par at best. Krown Ajax for the win every time.

Ok winters done and I'm seeing more and more daily drivers in for spring service that show zero signs they were sprayed last fall. Place you have the product sprayed is as important as the product itself. Both of my own are still showing with oil creeping outta the seams and frame rails.
Again, worth the drive to a shop that actually cares about you and your ride.

Thanks again James.

Like I said on Sat Zex, yours being "popcorn fart dry" is more common vs not. As you saw, no trace it's ever been sprayed, especially in the crusty areas which normally hold the product well. Same for on top of the shield we peeled off, dusty try, never been sprayed.

What are your thoughts on a Mustang that is summer driven only. Would you still get it sprayed? My DD '04 Marauder has been sprayed by Krown every year since new, but thinking of leaving new car clean.

I was spraying my mustang annually but because its a summer only car I stopped spraying it several years ago.
DD gets done yearly.

Had my van done this morning by James himself, he was alone, his other guys were out, they have a mobile division for fleets etc , minimum of 6, they were doing dump trucks today !

FYI ~ they have some thing call price hold, so when you get your 1st spray what ever that price was, it will stay the same for as long as you keep the vehicle, + get another $10 off for CAA , so for me, $20 off today !

Snow is almost here, got your ride protected yet?
Keep in mind, product used is one thing but even more important, the way it's applied. This location is the real deal, worth the drive.

I didn't think I was going to get to it this year but we had a nice warm day just before Chritmas so I was able to get it done. Went to the Bolton Krown. Was first in for the day and I was able to watch the application while speaking to the owner the entire time. Nice guy. I asked him if they silicone the door seals and he said no and that it wasn't necessary as they don't spray this area and it won't drip there. I haven't had any issues with droop but I thought that they sealed them anyway. Either way the car is protected for another year.

Had my DD done in Krown Bolton as well. Just my second year, but pretty happy with the application and service. Last year they mentioned the rear passenger side bottom door seal was working too well and that the door was folding water. Cleaned the drain holes and all is good now.

When I was still over at Fines Ford in Bolton, we would have no issue sending customers over to the local Krown since they were good to deal with as mentioned.

Just got off the phone with the 1401 Queensway Location. Apparently James no longer works with the company. I'll be going there regardless since it's not too far like the Pickering location is.

Poor past experiences prompted me to do my own this year, over the year I've been saving new oil/trans fluid in a washer fluid jug, so did my Wrangler and my CR-V. My wife got a new Cherokee a couple weeks ago, it's well coated with a rockerguard-like coating from the factory underneath, but gonna give it a quick coat of oil in the summer.

Isn't tranny fluid corrosive?

Ponyryd
01-01-2017, 11:46 AM
Could be but I don't think so, most trannies are aluminum with many steel components, coolers use rubber hoses as do most of the seals. I know guys who have been using it for years without an issue.
