Like the title I am curious if the brembo brake setup would allow the use of a 17" wheel

Thanks

Assume you mean SN95 / Cobra R style caliper using 13" rotor.
If so, can tell you for a fact the OEM Ford 03/04 Cobra wheel will fit. Aftermarket deep dish version will not.
OEM 18" Saleen rim will also fit.
Both are confirmed on my own car.

Sorry I need to clarify I have the 2003 13" brake setup on my SVO with the IRS brakes in the rear ....I do know they fit:)
would the Brembo set up fit from the newer model mustang w/14"

oh the ones for sale...Nope 17s need not apply. plus the offsets are different. Custom mounting brackets required and rims from the s197 are needed

Can't help you on that one.

Not sure if they will fit, but if you have a rim your more than welcome to try it on my Shelby before you consider any swaps.

I would like to take you up on the offer I have rim...will travel

Custom mounting brackets would not be an issue...in fact I was expecting them. I am a machinist / tool and die maker by trade and have made many mounts to allow different setups to be achieved.

e.g. SRT brembos fitted to a 52 f100 including full spindle, SN95 to 66 mustang

They won't fit 17s most 18s are tight.
S197 forum under the wheel section will have a lot of options for you

Thanks ndinadis
I guess I will have to look at 13" setups
Or a SN 95 setup

I run the Baer Track 4 brakes and 17" wheels, fits great. Much larger than the Brembo Caliper.

Your more than welcome to come and try, I'm just outside of Guelph...trying to think of how close my 17" front runner drag wheels were to the calipers...hmmmmm
