Half of those are prob rot boxes too. Ill happily keep dumping money into mine

Too many rot boxes being passed up as "mint"... I spent close to 2yrs on and off looking for a truly "mint" original 86GT, with no such luck at a realistic $$$ figure.

Bulk of them go round n round on Kijiji or similar.

Black is th worst colour on these cars...especially when they go right over the trim in the same gloss black. Makes me feel like people are too lazy to mask things off

Yup, seen more than one paint job ruin an otherwise very nice car.

Appraised value, asking price, and actual sale price (if they ever do sell) are almost always a very big spread ... of those ones, I think I would take the 86 rag with original paint for $8ish, just lose the white wheels.

cheers

i have been following fox saleens as well. Mint versions are really starting to creep up, hell Saleen parts are crazy priced 2k+ for sterns, intakes for over 1k etc...and they are selling. A mint fox will hold value, a real Cobra/saleen or other rarer car even more so. They are getting old.

There all on crack and only a fool with money would pay those prices for a hatch! Notches are harder to find so I could see them being priced higher but for a hatch dime a dozen.

The only way you can find a minty fresh fox of any type for a realistic price is by word of mouth or chance.

Or actually remove the trim to paint the vehicle properly then re-install fresh painted trim
must just be lazy

That's wasn't an uncommon practice back in the day when coming across a car for sale on the side of a country road. But ya, prolly not wise these days.

I think with that car, as long as you keep the look stock that would be awesome. Just do the stuff to make it an awesome street car.

I like sellers that post pics of underneath too...a lot of Foxes look good in pics in but look close and you find the rot.

Its finally happening. The clean fox cars ARE starting to go for real money. Anyone who thinks they can pick up a great example under $8000.00 around here is dreaming. You can get beauty new edge Cobra cheaper than a sweet fox. With most foxes over 25 years old now, thats how it should be.

Been noticing this as well. Always have my eyes open for a 85/85 notch 5 spd or a super rare aero notch t-roof car.
