JUST FINISHED REDOING MY SEATS AND DOOR PANELS NOW MOVING TO THE CENTER CONSOLE. HAS ANYONE PUT IN CUP HOLDERS WHERE THE ASHTRAY IS?

I did in my 92. Bought some thing I found on eBay called the Plug N Chug. It looked like this:

There were 2 problems with the one that I had. First was that the part that fit into the ashtray opening was too long, but it was easy to cut down to make it fit better. The second was that the cup holder part was not very deep so the cups didn't fit down too far and it made them very unstable. I ended up just going back to using the factory installed cup holder instead (wedging the cup down between the seat and the e-brake).

Fox bodies were never meant to have cup holders. They shake and rattle too much. Add a B-cam ....forget about it.

For where Fox Mustangs go, they don't need cups...

I put the same one in my car.....it's okay but yes no harsh shifts with a drink in it and shifter will hit it abit. But better then nothing.
