I sat in a 2015 Mustang Ecoboost yesterday, really took a long look around. I think they have lost direction or something. There is more buttons in there than a 747 cockpit. I mean seriously there is 20 buttons on the steering wheel alone. Then there is 20 more on the sides of the radio. Not even counting the ones below the radio. WTF! How is anyone supposed to use them while driving. I can't even use the buttons on my 09 F150 wheel without looking at them. The car is bigger and heavier than my '07 and it has less room inside? How is that possible? I know this is an old discussion but it's the first time I took the time to really sit in the car and adjust everything with my wife and kid in there with me. Might just be me but I really don't like the direction Ford is taking with all their cars. Too many buttons and gadgets. All mfg's are doing it but Ford is winning the button/insanely busy interior wars.

I personally love buttons and gadgets in a car. So while, it may seem to you that they're going in the wrong direction, some people may think they're finally going in the right direction. The 2015 model is my personal favorite so far, interior and exterior.

I was on the '15 hater band wagon up until I slid behind the wheel of Joe's, really like the car.

Personally I love the way Audi and BMW executes all the functions with a knob instead. I love gadgets but I hate buttons. My car has all those buttons on the screen which makes it look simple until you access a certain menu then it's button city LOL. But I know that Sync is supposed to do most of the work but sometimes you need to repeat it over for it to understand.

There are so many buttons to help you not be distracted that it's more distracting. You need to have ADHD to operate this car.

I suppose. There's only 33 buttons in the center stack...

Looks pretty basic to me.
You're not expected to remember every button... mainly cause some of them you'll barely use. You'll remember where the main ones are pretty quick, and the others are there if you ever need them.

I see it has a "CD" button but where is the slot? The only buttons you actually will use would be hvac and volume knobs which technically are not buttons :ford:

I wanted to say it was better back in simpler times with say the Model T, but....

Looks like it's between the 2 large knobs.. VOL and TUNE. Under the buttons.

I like the interior on the 2015 Mustang. Its about time Ford took the steps to catch up with the rest of the cars out there

That's not that bad, have to agree with most, about time they stopped making the inside of the stang look like a Revel model (meaning bland and stale and ALL thin cheap plastic).

In Fords defence, buying public are demanding the latest n greatest gadgets and Ford responded.

You want to know why Ford went back to all the buttons switches and knobs?
Because we as a consumer asked them too.

I don't seem to have a problem with the buttons. Upgrading to MFT gets rid of a lot of them. 80% of the rest are learned pretty quick.
I looked for the cruise control button today only because it's never used.

One of the reasons I'm hanging on to my wife's 05 Focus - the dash is uncluttered with crap. The iPod interface uses the factory controls, too. Dead-nuts simple, like me.

Bahahahaha... Very good.

And I agree the Mustang interior just looks too busy. The GT350 kinda looks better, but still not purpose oriented enough.

I don't think all that will fit inside the 2020 GT. If the current trend of making it bigger and heavier while making the interior smaller you won't have room for all of it. Unless that is in fact a highly magnified spy shot making the buttons appear normal sized when they are actually microscopic.

Looks like Ford has gone to a Lenco style 4spd for 2020.

Actually it doesn't look like that many more buttons. Especially when you compare it to the Premium model.

This is why I like my Dart interior. The non touch screen version has a decent amount of buttons but they aren't obnoxious and they're easy to use. The touch screen eliminates a lot of buttons. The steering wheel buttons are intuitive as well.

I'll post pics later. Ford is going insane with buttons.

+1 on the above. They lost the plot with the steering wheel controls.
