Obi-Wan: Your father... was seduced by the Dark Side. He ceased to be Turbo Fox and "became" Darth Dean. When that happened, the good man who was Dean was destroyed. So what I told you was true... from a certain point of view... He's more Chevy now than Ford. His mind is twisted and evil.

Haha... J/K.

Very nice truck. And the colour is great. Much better than all the black ones. Sharp.

Ya im happy with silver. To be honest i would have bought this thing regardless of the colour but im happy it worked out this way.

Very nice truck, is it a 1ss or 3ss

TurboFox
04-14-2015, 05:44 PM
Not sure. Its got leather with the suede inserts but no sunroof or nav

Ziggyzag420
04-14-2015, 06:35 PM
Sounds like a 3ss , the main difference between the two is the 3ss have leather and digital climate control and the 1ss has cloth seats and manual ac/heat

TurboFox
04-14-2015, 06:42 PM
Yeah its got the climate control too....good to know

Did the trans give out , I replaced mine twice on my 06 TBSS ,if I had kept it I would've went with a trans from RPM they seem to able to build them so they stay together.

pretty much yeah. Honestly I think I might go 4L80e. I'm hesitant on dropping 4k on built 4L70e just to worry its gonna grenade everytime I stomp on it.

4l80 isn't too pricey. Just need to have a driveshaft made and buy a preprogrammed TCM. I already talked to Circle D about a converter that will be able to tow yet have a higher stall (3200).

I dunno tho I am still thinking it all through. I have a massive bill coming my way for my mustang's paint job as well otherwise I would have already started ordering the new trans parts.

Whichever way you decide to go when the trans is out it would be a good idea to address the oil starvation issues the trucks have as well.

TurboFox
04-22-2015, 07:59 PM
already done. Its got a fresh LS2 in it with one of those PCM4less oil pickup tubes

Nice truck. Be kind to that transmission though. Those 4L70Es don't like a lot of abuse, and tend to grenade like their 4L60 cousins.
