Not cheap in the states either , you might be lucky to find one that hasn't been exposed to our salty winters though

I got chassis. Im just looking for a rusted busted up interior with a half decent drive train to use in my 80.

When I sold the 86, some guy offered me $3000 for it. Apparently you can get a rebuilt supercharged 5.0 for $500 according to him. I sent him on his way though.

Foxes are starting to look like collector cars.

if the body is in good shape this could be a sweet ride for 5gs maybe less if you haggle.

They were expecting you to swap in a race seat ... cars were put together to try to be competitive with the new for 93 Camaro and Firebird LT1 cars in the Firestone Firehawk endurance series. They weren't really, down on power too much compared to the F-bodies.

It is an R, check out Ed's post. Those seats were installed with assumption of race seats to fit the driver being installed. 100K is pretty insane..but it's supply and demand. Someone out there will want it bad enough and pay big coin.

That's definitely an R, no back seat, base front seats, no radio or A/C, adjustable Konis, SN95 style 13" front brakes and 17x8 wheels. Only 107 of those produced, there will be a Ford lover somewhere willing to drop the coin to add it to their collection. As a competitive race car they were a bit of a bust, but to a Fox lover it is one of the ultimate cars. Even the 95 Cobra R with the 5.8 needed aluminium GT-40 heads added after the fact as an allowed upgrade to be competitive with the 5.7 GM cars.

It's an R.

The seller will get the money.

Rare Stangs continue to pull big dough and this one is basically new.

def. a R.... and someone will pay.

if I had millions.. why not!

OK, I take back the "R" part, but that is still pricey for a car that you shouldn't drive. All the value is the fact it was never used.

pretty simle, its a collectors investment not a driver.

I understand the concept, just not my idea of car ownership. Even if I were a collector I'd beat the crap out of my most expensive car as much as an 18yr old with a Foxbody, lol.

Funny read on the WIKI about these cars, It says "Ford didn't want these to go to collectors so you had to have an active racing license to buy one", lol.

It would be interesting to know how many of the 107 93 Cobra R cars actually got made in to race cars, or at least saw some track time at lapping days or Solo I competitions. My guess would be less than a 1/3 of them. When I was racing at Sebring in the fall of 93 at a Firehawk 12 hr, I think there were 3 of them there, 2 for sure.

I would think back in 93 you'd have to be a pretty hardcore Foxbody type guy to buy these cars with the SN's right around the corner and the Z28 Camaro spanking it around too.. Just too limited appeal. For $100K you can buy/build a 1000HP Corvette that can actually take a corner AND you can drive it without fear of wrecking a 1 of 107.....
