Well when I sold the Cobra back at Christmas I never thought id get the bug to look for another car so soon well it happens and Sunday I went and looked at this fox. Its not a 79-86 four eyed coupe like I want but it is very clean and un molested what is your thoughts on this fox? Worth it?

Is there anything about 89"s I should know about? Plans would be mild mods to start but just enjoy and drive it.

If you don't buy it I will. I'm looking for a notched fox, and that price is good.

Looks like a nice ride, I'm not sure how hard it is to place emblems in the right spot but it's becoming an epidemic it seems.

89 IMO is the best year, you get Mass Air and still have tilt steering and no DRL. I prefer the vent knobs etc ( i know small thing) in the earlier Aero cars as well. That car has been painted but I hear it's really nice.

The current owner (Mark) had the car for about a year now. Was repainted about 2-3yrs ago, had 8 previous owners many were used car dealers. I was interested in it a few months ago, until I heard about the history!!

8 owners for a 26yr old car is no big deal imo. condition, milage and accidents are.

"No mods", but I see a Hurst shifter, wheels (obviously), and is that an aftermarket catted H-pipe? Not seeing the 2 rear cats of a stock H-pipe there, but maybe it's just the angle of the photo. And of course an 89 you need to worry about e-test if you do decide to mod the engine. Looks like a nice car regardless.

cheers

Not worth $8500 seems like he's just a flipper that bought it for 4-5k.

Its a pretty car though.

Did you have a real good look at it?

Lots of "Clean Foxes" around until they go up in the air and you lift the carpet.

He paid $8000 for it and put in $3000 of work after purchasing it, which included a new windshield, pinion seal, clutch cable, front brakes and tune-up all done by a Ford dealer. Mark is firm on the price. Car has been listed since October.

I think I remember it being posted on the FB group and people just tore him apart on it due to the painted moldings, etc... Looks clean in the pics, interior looks clean too. Probably worth a look. Notches aren't getting cheaper. The floor pan pic looks pretty good, go check it out bring it to a shop with a lift and have a close look. 8500 isn't much if the body is 100% rust free and interior doesn't need anything.

I'm guessing "Mark" bought this from a mechanic/dealer in Napanee. I looked at this car many times when it was for sale there which wasn't long ago. Looked to be in nice shape I just wasn't quite ready for a car

Its been for sale for a while now , I'm surprised it has not sold, it certainly appears to be a lot more car ( condition wise ) than others priced similarly. It looks like a nice clean car, the guy also has a nice T Bird for sale too at a good price. The price of foxebodies is getting crazy . I wonder how many are actually selling .

This is the same guy who is selling the stang in my OP. He has both up for sale. As far as my op if the car sells before I get my tax return oh well not going to worrie about it probably should not butcher that clean of car anyway and start off with a cheaper fixer upper but if it don't sell it is definitely an option in fact the smartest thing I should do is hold off till another good 79-86 lx pops up 4cyl 8cyl don't matter
