You no longer need to put up with a high pedal effort and chattering like hell performance clutch on the street. McLeod (and a few other co's) have developed dual disc clutches with excellent street manners along with an ultra light pedal effort. These are an epic step forward for the peeps running big h/p and torque on the street. One of those, you can have your cake and eat it to kinda deals.

actually upgraded to the 13-14 factory unit over the 2011 and it was night and day!

Only installed one CF Dyad clutch. Initial impression was ok but separator disc had an undertone kinda rattle. Not sure if it went away with miles or not, clutch was hurt / failed at the drag strip shortly there after. The McLeods have all performed exactly as they should with very light pedal effort, excellent feel and no chatter. Only downside to a dual disc, high initial cost.
On cars making less power (N/A small block or stock blower Cobra etc), CenterForce Dual Friction is still our go to clutch. It's hard to beat for extremely friendly street manners and excellent performance.
This is gonna seem odd to most, now suggesting every flywheel is machined prior to install. Out of the last dozen plus new flywheels we've sent out, only one came back close enough to perfect it did not need grinding. New not being perfect came to light after we sent a pair of new ones out to be checked for zero balance and we got a call they were not only out of balance (ordered zero) but faces were both high towards the outter edges and measured like a roller coaster when spun. Didn't take a huge cut on either to bring true but out far enough you'd have expected the clutch to feel closer to maybe 80% smooth / chatter free vs perfect.
Most important part from there on forward is how the clutch is broken in. Turning point, perfect clutch either stays perfect or chatters for the lest of it's serviceable life.

Grabs really well at the track even for 2nd gear burnouts (LoL yes Rick I no longer do it after our talk)
