Interesting but still a believer in trucks should have a V8 or a diesel.
^Me too, not to mention that particular truck looks terrible!
Hope its more reliable than the Quad 4 that Oldsmobile hung their hat on a few years ago :stickpoke:
Seems to be quite a lot of mechanical complexity, with sliding cams to vary the valve lift etc.
I guess a small 4 cylDiesel is a non starter in North America these days
They need it for fleet/gov trucks.
Ford has been leading the pack in 4cyl turbo power, others are just so late to the game.
Since probably 2/3rds of them will likely be used as passenger cars with the occasional run for mulch it makes sense. Should help a lot with their CAFE ratings too. The weight savings all trucks have been making are very impressive but there is only so light they can go.
Like one hell of a truck.
