I installed the bushing.Right away I could feel the tightness of the shifter. It feels more precise.the shifts are even better then when the tranny is up to temperature. The only thing that I could say is a small minus is the noise, and a little more vibration felt through the tranny. I'll take it thuogh ,shifting feels much better, and the shifter doesn't move as much under hard acceleration.Good buy, I.M.P.O.
Have you considered the MGW shifter?
I am looking at a couple right mow. I want to lower the car and tint the windows. I plan on doing the shifter over the winter. I'm also going to N.J. in September, so might come back with one.
I wouldn't consider anything else. I tried the Barton bracket, didn't work. The blowfish bracket didn't work. I drove Elton's (Toxix) car that has the MGW installed and it's the best feeling shifter period. Hopefully I'll have one over the winter if I can keep working.
Yup I'm with Ray on this one- I think the MGW race spec is the way to go
Installing one of these bad boys in the next week or two (05 GT / 5.0 3V), driving impressions to follow.

As for shifter, zero doubt MGW has the absolute best shifter for those trans.
MGW is awesome and I am sure the bushing makes a huge difference.
Install video, interested to hear how you like it long term.
