this is for sale not too far from me if anyone is looking for an old Mopar - didn't have a real good look at it but drum brakes on the front - looked pretty original
Might not be as lucky as I first thought. Guy couldn’t get the car to start dispite paying someone else to sort out the ignition.
Noticed pretty quick that the plug wires were not done right. Also found the old capacitor was buggered.
Fixed those problems and went to crank it and didn’t chug. Just spun over really quiet like. Pulled the new plugs and no compression at all.
Pulling the head tomorrow to see how bad it is.
Might get a motor swap sooner than I had hoped.
I kinda want to build a shop... detail garage type thing / tinting / tire n wheels ... can't be that much capital investment?
If you have the option to flat tow slowly around the block, many times heat built up will see it fire up. Same goes for powering starter only with 12v will spin fast enough to fire. No it will not hurt the starter, just be sure not to send 12v to rest of vehicle.
Also worth confirming someone has not adjusted the valves too tight.
Pour bit of ATF in each cyl n let soak for a day or three rolling over slowly from time to time.
