So have a few miles under your belt, how you liking the new ride?
He looks pretty happy from what I saw on FB. :)
I sure am!
I'm enjoying the ride Rick. The extra length has had zero effect on daily driving, parking requires a little more walking now. Couple of things I want to mention is that this second gen 3.5 EB engine is super quiet! Can barely hear it running unless you get on her, crack the windows open and you can hear the turbos spool when accelerating. The 10 speed transmission is nice, it does work a little overtime in some situations but nothing really to mention. I'm really getting in to the start/stop feature. Ford did it right by sticking a button on the dash to turn it off and on without having to sort through menus. If I'm doing a lot of short stop and go I'll turn it off, if I see a light is about to change I'll roll the truck long enough to not have it shut off for 5 seconds, but other then that I kind of like the idea of it turning off at a 30 second long traffic light. Am I saving any fuel? Too early to tell I guess, I always thought it was better to idle for 30 seconds then stop and start a car again, I guess things have changed since my carburetored 1984 Pontiac Bonneville. I'm also not sure what affect this will have on the starter motor but from what I've heard the starter motors have been built to withstand this kind of constant repetitive starting. I guess time will tell. All in all I've enjoyed my first week minus filling up the 136L tank with premium! Got back in the Toyota Sienna on Sunday and wow I felt like I was in a Corolla not a minivan!! Give me a few months and I'm sure I'll have some good information and experiences to share.
Great review there Hemant.
Nothing but positives thus far, you definitely bought the right truck for you.
