Collingwood rye is mellowed in maple barrels, making it smoother and sweeter. The BH dark rye is KY rye, Canadian rye and port blend. It has a softer, sweeter taste and is a nice change. My favorites are Still the Whistle Pig and Nikka rye's.
If you're palate is for sweeter bourbons look to Blantons, Bakers, or Michters. All are sweeter but progressively more expensive.
A good value bourbon is the Knob Creek, which is the bourbon equivalent of the scotch staple Highland Park 12. Both the KC and HP12 hit the sweet spot of value/flavor.
all of the above should be enjoyed neat, without adulteration of ice, water or soda.
