Agree with most of that list, cool rides.
I really don’t understand the 2010 Explorer?
Neither do I.
It is puzzling for most of us I gather. I think it was because it was a V8?
V8 full frame "truck", one of the last mid-size SUVs with that configuration. Desirable in 20 years maybe, classic might be stretching it.
I still want a 1991 CRX Si
I really don’t think so.Quote:
Find one in great condition from the last generation (especially 2009-10) and you’ll have something collectors should crave.
Agree with every other pick on the list. If they really needed an SUV style vehicle to round out the list....

Excursion ...
Maybe those explorers will become like the tri-five chevies of the future.......lol.
I'd add the 1989 Taurus SHO. What a great stealthy fast sedan. And a high reving Yamaha engine to boot! Loved mine....kinda wish I'd held onto it now.
I liked the 89-95 version better than the later model year version as well. Ford changed nature of the car in later years (auto only) and tried to make it more of a luxury sedan....than sports sedan.
My 89 was reliable, save the clutch, which I found wore pretty quickly. That might have had something to do with my driving style though. ;). I did the timing belt change myself on mine twice (per regular maintenance) and also adjusted the valve shims (per maintenance schedule). Outside of that, the car was very reliable for me.....and a ton of fun to drive. Surprised quite a few other drivers when they thought they had a fast car.....including some fox mustangs. :). Launching the car was a real challenge though....torque steer was pretty crazy.
Oh my bad, i always thought it was a 4.6l

What's crazy is even semi late model tuner Honda's are trending up

I do not think that most mass produced vehicles after 93 will ever be a collector classic. Certainly not a 2011 Explorer... lol The way things are going, in 20 years gasoline powered cars may even be outlawed as far as I can tell plus most kids these days aren’t into cars. They won’t want to restore a 2017 mustang in 25 years.
^^^i’ll take that bet.
$100 gasoline powered cars are not outlawed in 5 years.
You weren’t. But I am.
Stangstevers predicted that gasoline powered vehicles may be outlawed in 20 years. You upped the ante to 5-10 years, 15 tops. I’m willing to bet against your prediction that gasoline powered vehicles are made illegal by 2023.
Just a friendly wager amongst friends.
Dude, I hope to not be alive by 2023....
Britain set a target for 2040 no more gas vehicle sales, which most find ambitious. That's also just stopping sales, not a hard pull of all gas powered cars.
Ive been looking at the S2000 for a few weeks now and they seem to be holding on to thier value big time. Id love to scoop one up but at those prices i may have to go for an mx5 which is unfortunate since i have a cock n balls still and as soon as my name is on the ownership of a Miata, they will be gone :(
