You asking if there's another way to fix beyond removing the broken bolt and installing a new one?
Ya, don't think I'm going to either jack up the cab or cut a hole in the floor.
Don't those bolt in from underneath on the 3rd Gens?
Yes, and that's the problem. If I was to cut a hole in the cab floor and reach down 6 inches, I don't think I can loosen the thread portion if there is any of it sticking out. If there is, maybe welding a nut on it might do it...but that sounds like a summer project. So I think it will be my redneck repair for now.
That's exactly what is planned...6 inch muffler clamp, lol.
Soak it for a week or two with penetrating fluid, then drill and ez out, or just drill it out entirely. Welding a nut could work as well if you got access.
