Im having a hanging idle issue. Is there a different IAC valve for a boosted application than a n/a car.
IAC isn’t affected by boost.
Hanging is most commonly the throttle body (aftermarket most prone) but sometimes tune can be at least partially to blame.
Like Zr said, tune can do this, as can sticky aftermarket TBs. If you haven recently changed anything, I'd look towards the IAC itself as being faulty, I seem to go through one every couple years, Motorcraft OEM last the longest, jobber brand seem to die in a minute.
Thanks I will change it out and see if it fixes the issue. Why im asking is do i buy one for say a lightning or just get one for a gt.
