E85 Fuel is Almost Here.
There is a Gen7 Fuel gas station in Roseneath, Ontario that will soon be selling E85 fuel.
For those who don't know E85 is an abbreviation typically referring to an ethanol fuel blend of 85% ethanol fuel and 15% gasoline or other hydrocarbon by volume. E85 is made from corn and burns nice a cold in your engine allowing for more timing which in turn means more power. Keep in mind E85 burns 1/3 quicker than gasoline and evaporates quicker.
In the U.S. they've been running E85 in their race cars for years and their tuners know how to take advantage of it, this is great news for some of us already running E85 on track days here in Ontario. :dragster:

They will be filling the tanks tomorrow and then start flow testing, they need to pump a certain amount before measurement.

Inquiring minds just gotta know. ;)

E85 is flowing but still doing tests, next week they will get the results from the government of what's in the fuel. This E85 should be up in the 100-110 octane level and measure up to 85% Ethanol and 15% 87 octane fuel. They will also be coming up with pricing some time next week.
