Fox mufflers
Getting tired of my flow master mufflers (American thunder). After 12 years on the car they seem louder or I’m just older. Looking to replace mufflers only since tail pipes are ok and tangled around the pan hard bar mount anyway. Something that sounds nice but easy on the ear drums.
302 tick flow top end, long tubes and catted X pipe.

Borla XS are going to be some of the quietest.
Disliked Magnaflows on my former GT and current Cobra. Many report no drove, they droned like crazy on both cars.
Currently have American Thunder cat back on the Cobra, while it's getting louder as the miles go on (including a hair of drone now / could be cats deteriorating from spirited driving) still well within reasonable.

American Thunder on the 05 with long tubes and currently no cats (for testing only / have Gesi cats to go on), sounds like death out the back.

Car sounded amazing Brad sitting there idling at the track. I wouldn’t change a thing.
I have the same setup on my car, but yours sounds better. Trade?

+1 for the Dynomax, always loved how they sounded behind a SBF. Had them on my 87, also put a pair on my 68 Cougar with a pretty much stock 289 and it sounded great. Nice mellow tone that opened up when you got on it.

Im glad mufflers getting louder with age is a thing. I do like the sound it’s just too much sound.

Thrush Turbo's have always been a fav of mine.

Dynomax Super Turbo’s on mine. Even come with brackets to bolt up to factory mounts.
