Carb Rebuiders
Had planned on rebuilding my carb myself for the experience as I think it's in pretty good shape but might just get it done professionally so that it's also pretty as well as functional.
Anybody know a good rebuilder?
Any experience with the Carb Guys in Oshawa?
Please post good experiences but use PM for poor ones

Ed at ES Auto does them all the time.

I have rebuilt carbs back in the day with rebuild kits,eg,Holley,Motorcraft, one GM carb, and my lawnmower carb.
It's easy when using a rebuild kit and cleaning the carb passages out.
Tuning a carb if required is another story.
If this this is just a basic carb rebuild buy a rebuild kit and do it yourself and you will probably save hundreds $ than what a "professional" will charge.

May be a good time to upgrade to a Holley EFI and improve drivability and fuel economy. I like those units as it allows you to keep the vintage look of the air cleaner while giving you modern benefits of EFI.

+1 on jumping to EFI but if your set on staying carb'd, worth looking to see what a new outta the box carb is worth.
We've done several of the Holley Sniper kits (4bbl + 2bbl) with 100% success, exceptional product.

I just sold an Edelbrock Performer Carburetor 600 CFM With Manual Choke #1405 this past week to a guy in Keswick with a 69 Mustang. If you want to go Holley EFI I can get you a good deal and shipped to your door while you're in the garage working on the classic.

If you want to rebuild it I'd also recommend Ed Szram at ES Automotive. according to Ed for street cars he likes using the Edelbrock and for performance he suggest the Holley.
