Let's face it, it's unlikely to happen. Classic political move, set a good sounding goal then make the timeline long enough that you won't have to actually do anything to implement it. Then it falls on some future successor to change the goal posts.

Yes electric will be "better" when tested by Car& Driver and Motor Trend and there is Motor Week unbiased reveiws.
Electricity prices or tax money will sky rock.
At least Ford won't be selling our hydro to the yankee's below our cost like Wingfee did, then yet she cut hydro to the poor who couldn't pay excessive rates.
But this is in 35 years, a lot can change in 2 days.

California can't keep the power on now so what will they do if this is implemented. I guess all the electricity generated is derived from Fairy Dust or perhaps adjoining states.

At this point the States (and Canada) would be better off if west coast just fucked off and formed their own country.
