Wet sump external oil pump?

Anyone have experience running a wet sump external oil pump setup? Are they reliable? Any brand to avoid ?

I don't have an answer for you, but I do have a question, what benefit do you expect to gain by running an external pump on a wet sump?

Lou over at Barone Parts a sponsor here runs one I believe and can supply as well —would benefit high horsepower and boosted engines

Benefit for this application is the ability to run a front sump oil pan on the 7.3 Godzilla.
