Apparently he doesn't believe in climate change, goes on vacation while the country is burning, and send "hope and prayers" but no additional resources/help to parts of the country under siege.....he's been cussed out a lot when visiting affected areas (after cutting his vacation short due to criticism).
You'd expect that from "The Spectator" - I guess those arsonists have caused the droughts and 42C temps across the country as well. They should arrest the firebugs and Australia's problem will be solved - yay! Maybe they can investigate why some people in Venice keep leaving their taps running and causing flooding.
lack of forestry control. massive fires are a large part of world history. for years in a lot of places forestry effort including clean up and controlled burns have helped stem these. the pull back of conservation in the name of saving th eenvoronment have left built up of dead fall and debris that leads to fire running out of control.
what ever the cause tragic world changing event
Yes in localized regions but 42C average across the country as well as the current fire map is not common.

OK the conspiracy theorists are out now - I got nothing for that. I'll let it go to avoid derailing thread any further.
Doesn't have to be common but it’s happened.
1850-1851: The "Black Thursday" fires of 6 February 1851 in Victoria, burnt the second largest area (approximately 5,000,000 hectares (12,000,000 acres)) in European-recorded history and killed more than one million sheep and thousands of cattle as well as taking the lives of 12 people
Was that due to man made climate change?
not even 15min into the show and already Climate change involved... it kills me how many people don't actually give it some thought and think logically even for a few minutes rather than jumping on bandwagons without a coherent thought...
it's like saying oh...
"it's been the hottest temperature in history" - well you can't prove that
"it's been the hottest temperature in recorded history" - well okay, perhaps, however: 'history' and 'recorded history' are not even on the same scale and mostly objective cause nobody cares to actually do any research themselves...
lol, I don't know where I'm going with this, just ranting...back to the show!!! LOL
