Did you install the McLeod? If so, have you been happy with it?
Considering the McLeod as well. Only 68K on the Boss, but have heard they are a good upgrade and have helped with high RPM gear lockout and/or clutch pedal sinking to the floor @ high RPM?
Given...
[QUOTE=ZR;428766]I normally pull the filter while it's still draining so never noticed.[/QUOTE
I've always only had one oil catch basin, so have been forced to drain one at a time, and I've always...
Ditto for me, though I need over 8L to fill mine. I just found it odd that after almost completely draining the pan, that there was more in it after I removed the filter.
I'd be curious if you tried my method to see if you have the same experience as myself or not. I imagine after an hour, you wouldn't even get any dripping coming out of the pan?
Oil was hot. When I put the plug back in, after initially draining it, there was literally a trickle coming out of the pan. The amount that came out of the pan after removing and replacing the filter...
I've changed oil on my cars for as long as I can remember. I changed the oil on the Boss 302 yesterday afternoon.
I've always just drained the pan, then replaced the bolt and moved onto changing...
I guess we shouldn't be surprised. Choices for tunes on the new platform just got way smaller.
Very happy with the result.

Cool story/memory. Though tough to think about now, I believe you made the right decision at the time (buy a house). I"m sure that's turned into a pretty good investment. Great that you're still able...
Pulled the old sensor today and put a new one in. Definitely quite a difference when it comes to the O-Ring as noted in the TSB. I don't have the tool to do the Misfire Monitor Neutral Profile...
Off and on....CEL light flashes for about 20 secs. on occasion and goes off. Only once has CEL light stay on (late last season) and when I checked DTCs...it had the P0301, P0303.
Doesn't appear of...
Hi Guys,
Looking at doing this on my 13 Boss 302 as part of the TSB below. Looks like there's more to it then simply replacing the sensor, i.e. you need to perform Misfire Monitor Neutral Profile...
C'mon Mav.....don't be an evil influence. :D:D
I haven't tried them, but got some info....here you go.
The cost is $65 + tax per sample. If you pre-pay for your sample it’s $35 plus tax. This is for engines, transmissions or coolants.
...
For the test? If so..... $50 plus $23 to ship the sample to them.
Looks like I bought a winner. A good way to keep an eye on how your engine is wearing and whether or not you have coolant, moisture or gas seeping into the oil. Cost is about $50, plus...
How did you get dents on a new car? Time to take a new drivers exam? ;)
Nope, not that OCD, just curious where all that extra oil drained back from, and yah, pretty sure it's correlated to releasing the oil filter. Next time I change the oil, think I'll setup two oil...
Another benefit I didn't realize until I moved out here....my Son-In-Laws father who lives next store to him.....has a lift!!
Now onto my story. I've done my own oil changes on my vehicles for as...
I hear the Toyo R888's grip pretty good.
^^^^understatement!! I warned my neighbor I was doing it as I'm sure they could smell it as well. I need to do it again soon on my pearl paint on the MKX. Think I'll put on an N95 mask...
