It's a very, very nice area and the Mighty Mac is something everyone should drive on at least once. That is unless you're afraid of heights and water as the road bed is 200ft above the water, and the bridge is almost 5 miles long.

There is enough height above the water to fly a B52 under the bridge in fact a B47 bomber was flown under the bridge during it's construction by an air force pilot from the SAC base at Raco just south-west of Sault Michigan .
