After I sent him the CarProof He was shocked.
He said "I had no idea, bought it from a Coworker and since we both worked at ford I didn't think the guy would scam me. :/

The Search continues for me. .. ...

Ya, this is why I never car proofed my car, I'm sure it's got history, but it drives fine so I don't want to know. Wasn't a thing back when I bought it and I don't want to know now.

Glad you caught it before it became your problem.

I find it most interesting that a Ford employee likely has a decent understanding of how to manipulate the odometer reading...Just saying...

^Never know who it was, coulda been a line worker. Even if it was a tech, they can't program an odometer usually, that's a job done by the cluster rebuilders.....although of course they could tell them a lie when sending in the paperwork.

Here's a car, don't know the guy or anything, just saw it.

Interesting; my naive self figured that the odometer reading would be stored in the cars memory in several places than verified and updated when parts were replaced.

You're assuming that part of the story is true also. I'm pretty sure every piece of that ad is fabricated.

That is very true. I think mostly I am let down. Figured odometer rollbacks were a thing of the past. Thanks for sharing this story as I will now no longer blindly trust odometers going forward.
