Considering all the money they've put into endurance road racing recently, Ford likely already has a fix, but it is a shame that it has to become sued to implement it.

1991 Mustang 5.0L LX - Titanium Frost CC Metallic, MM Suspension, Bilstein shocks, Cobra brakes, Edelbrock heads, polished GT-40 intake, new interior
2018 Mustang GT - Performance Pack, Magneride, Auto, Forged wheels, Active exhaust, Lightning Blue

Crazy that manufacturers don't deal with issues before they become class actions.

The fix from Ford involves buying a new transmission.

Must be referring to the Hollinger Tranny that Ford
uses in the Race S550 Mustangs now.

Which definetly is a Road Course "Fix", a $19000 dollar one. LoL

Seen a couple Shelby guys with tech pack swapping the trans unit/cooler from the track pack in to their cars. Cost isn't cheap, I heard around 7k USD if your paying for new parts from Dealer.

I am interested in getting a 2016 GT350 so I started looking into the problem.

The trans used in the Track Pack cars had an internal pump for the cooler, so it is a complete assembly that would have to be swapped to add the cooler system ... not a cheap fix. I'd heard last summer that Ford Racing was maybe going to come out with a kit for adding it, but haven't heard anything since then about it.

    cheers

Not easy keeping that voodoo under control. Is this overheating in addition to the oil cooler fire issue? Or part of the same problem?

I agree that if you sell a vehicle as "race ready" it better be able to take the heat. Same as selling an "off-road ready" vehicle and expecting to be able to take "sweet jumps".
