Hey All. Just wanted to share some interesting facts and see if anyone else has encountered this. My car is set up with 20X9.5 rims up front with 245 35 20 tires and aftermarket TPMS and 20X10 rims in the back with 285 30 20 and also with aftermarket TPMS and have been on the car roughly a month. So what I am encountering is when the car is rolling along on a flat road from a standstill to about 60 kph (45 mph) there is sounds coming from the tires when they are rolling making popping sounds similar to popping bubble wrap. This is happening on all 4 corners! The odd thing is that coincidentally the right rear TPMS suddenly decided to take a dump and not work. My friend at the tireshop suspects that the low profile tires and position of the TPMS itself could be the culprit. The front sensor seems to hit the rim when we move the valve (Rubber valve stem) but not the case in the back. Anyway, has anyone else encountered this? I am heading there today to take it apart and see what can be done. Maybe run without TPMS and see how it goes?
Any input on this would be helpful.
