Part of the problem, far too many make vehicle purchases based on mileage only and seem to put the blinders on to the rest. Yes truck you got from Joe was an absolute cherry but did have miles on it. Hell of a deal and it served you well.

I always tell people your better off with a vehicle that has higher mileage that has had everything done then low milage that has had nothing done

+2 on the above. I used to think 2 year old just off lease low mileage was the way to go also. After seeing some lease returns here with 0 service history, got me rethinking that theory

Yes little or no service at the mileage that matters most.
bought my ram with 68K on it. fella that traded it in was meticulous on keeping up with the service and the truck still looks brand new.

I agree, there would have been several indications visually that the truck has 200+ on it.
I pity the guy in Michigan that has my 2013 gmc.
I changed oil on time but it towed a 5500lb trailer close to half of the 146,000km on the odometer.
I keepem clean but they work every day.

Although the 6.0 & 6.4 Diesel were crap,I know a few guys that tow heavy equipment all the time & they had few problems.
It was the ones that just idled all day & never worked hard like school buses & daily drivers that had the most stuff go wrong
