    Polished aluminum

So I'm designing/ building a custom piece for my Harley.
A bike rack for my Trek mountain bike.
It will attach where the tour pack is now mounted.
Once it's complete and confirmation that it works, I plan to polish it.

My question is what should I coat with.
    Just polish and wax?
Or some sort of clear coat paint?
What is best for raw aluminum?

Polish, then polish it again when it starts to oxidize. Rinse repeat. Just chrome it like the harley

I recommend that you ceramic coat the part after it is polished. This will lock in the finish for roughly 2 years under normal wear and tear conditions.
