    Power Window acting up

    Hi

Originally, the motor was failing on hot summer days, a common problem with 2003 mustangs. I
removed the motor and regulator assembly. Applied grease to the rubber stoppers inside the motor.

I am able to install the assembly no problem, however.. without installing the motor I try moving
the window up and down and the white guide clips are hitting on the window guide. The clips feel
firm and do not budge nor do they look destroyed.

When I remove the regulator assembly, i can tilt the window as needed and it does not hit. With the
regulator installed, it always hits no matter how i position the window.

    Please help

Been a few years since I've had one apart, can't visualize what the problem is. Do recall, smoothest way to re and re is to remove glass, install track and re rivet the glass to it. I can however add, blew my brains out trying different fixes for the motor quitting from time to time but in the end replacing was the only thing that worked long term. It's also less likely to happen if you don't use auto down or once down bring it up just a hair.
