    Interesting but still a believer in trucks should have a V8 or a diesel.

    Hope its more reliable than the Quad 4 that Oldsmobile hung their hat on a few years ago
    Seems to be quite a lot of mechanical complexity, with sliding cams to vary the valve lift etc.
    I guess a small 4 cylDiesel is a non starter in North America these days

    Ford has been leading the pack in 4cyl turbo power, others are just so late to the game.

    Since probably 2/3rds of them will likely be used as passenger cars with the occasional run for mulch it makes sense. Should help a lot with their CAFE ratings too. The weight savings all trucks have been making are very impressive but there is only so light they can go.

    V8's great till you have 12-15 trucks burning fuel when they don't have to be. If this is reliable and no overly expensive to order it should sell great in fleet.
