I'm not much of a fan of Conrad Black, or any of the party leaders that we have running, but here is a good column from Mr. Black about our current situation:

I was formerly derisive of Mr Black, buying into the canned media bias calling him a crook. I’m not much more familiar with him now but have appreciated/enjoyed the little of his writing I’ve sampled.

I suspend judgement.

I'm not a fan of his as I've been aware of his time as head of Hollinger way back and the evolution of the newspaper/media conglomerate he ran, the consolidation of editorial power away from regional markets (why I stopped my subscription to The Financial Post years ago after his company acquired it, the entitlement at shareholder expense - the House of Lords thing did not help, lol, theft and shredding of corporate documents, etc) but have always enjoyed listening to his perspectives and writings as an individual.

In the Guelph area there was a Green Party candidate who won the election, a first for Ontario.
