Was hoping Trump would be a sign of a conservative movement to retake what once used to be great and make it great again but the msn and shear lack of self thinking brain power of scociety means that calling anyone Trump regardless of truth will rally the morons to your cause and end the evil, (well what ever the msn. Claims is evil at that given time.)

Truth no longer matters too many people wil flawed ideology’s and shit for brains willing to spew it out at the shortest notice.

Sigh... I'm working on a backup plan to GTFO out of this retarded province. Which will also suck since the housing market isn't super hot, I'd only make about 100k on the current house after closing costs - if I'm lucky. But where the F can you go? Saskatoon? Face it, this country is pretty bad.

I have been disgusted with this Ontario for a very long time, and ended up moving to New York City. It is a stepping stone for me, as I ultimately want to live in either Long Island, Florida (Orlando or Fort Lauderdale) or Houston TX.

watching the latest debate. Ford is remarkably patient and tolerant with Horwath interruptions that amount to heckling. I'm disappointed with the moderators for allowing constant interruption, not just of Ford but Wynne also.

I would like to see costing for the PC platform. This whole hydro one salaries fiasco is troubling also, especially when it's revealed the golden parachute must be deployed with no option

id be willing to take the hit on the golden parachute if it means re maping the board so that the members are making the same wage as other similar utilitys, isnt the quebec hydro ceo only making like 400k per year? eliminate the millions in wages and hold the utility responcible for cost savings and you will save that 10 million parachute ten fold, then audit the shit out of the entire place and if you find any colusion or wrong doing between the ceo and the government in terms of price fixing or anything like that, throw them in jail and seize all their assets as aquired in crime, then let them rot. need to put an end to this government assisted crony shit

What's that old saying " those that fail to learn from history are doomed to repeat it". That's how I feel about the NDP. Like Bob Rae, Andrea Horwath may be a competent leader, but just like Bob Rae her supporting cast are a bunch of flakes. What's that other old saying "fool me once, shame on you. Rant Warning!

Democracy DOES in fact need an upgrade. I know millennials are leaning towards socialism and communism because they believe democracy and capitalism is setup to make the rich richer (and they're not totally wrong). Problem is they are migrating towards things like the NDP, even the liberals have turned into a dangerous neo-liberal field ("progressive liberals" - look it up). For example we have over 30 "suggested" pronouns and some powerful people trying to limit our speech because "he or she" hurts the feelings of .01% of the population - so we need to be really fucking careful with the path we're heading with the popularity of socialist neo-liberal groups like the NDP and OLP.

So things like UBI (universal basic income) are popular with the youth and conservatives are a huge turn-off because they represent "the rich, racist Christian white folk" in the eyes of the new voters. It's a generation of snowflake-hurt-feelings, false sense of enlightenment, entitlement and jealously. I'm also turned off by the conservative party but I vote PC because despite the fact that my values don't align, I don't want to go down in history as part of a population that did things like vote for the fall of the western civilization (yes I believe liberals and NDP represent that extreme view).

As far as big-government (probably the only conservative value I have): We have more than enough technology to cut the government workforce probably in half (talking out of my ass here) and increase services to the population. We don't need a top heavy government anymore. We need more front-line workers like nurses and teachers, not executives and sr management. For example, even in municipal politics, does Toronto REALLY need all those councilors stealing over 100k a year from tax payers, working maybe 2 months of the year and $1000 a night in hotel expenses??? Fuck no! Someone could write software using AI tech to replace their jobs 100%.

For example: I'm sorry but Service Ontario does NOT need to exist, nor do stupid stickers for plates. A simple fucking website that I could write myself in a few months can eliminate all Service Ontario locations while decreasing costs, increasing service levels and overall 1000% increase in customer experience.. That's just a quick example. There are probably thousands of such opportunities. Me, a stupid french guy can build all new processes and technology to support the closure of all service ontario locations. Imagine what a team of dedicated and brilliant process engineers can do!

Back to democracy and governments. All parties need to be dissolved and even the concept of left and right needs to fade. You can't have ALL left or ALL right, everything should be balanced. It's not healthy, it's divisive and leads to extremes every other term. We should value humanity's progress, environment, science and questioning the status-quo. Not religions and the "left and right" think. We are STUCK in this fucking spiral with no end in sight unless some HUGE calamity arises that forces a total reset on how humanity currently works.
