    We sod from the first cut in April/May until December if possible. Working for builders means they have a schedule and we have to follow it. It really isn't that bad to keep it watered.

    If you're a DIY'er, it's really not that hard to do. I installed a 3-zone system at my house in a weekend, total cost was about $500 for everything.

    Installed a orbit system last year.. works well you just have to adjust the sprinklers a few times a year.
