    Home Surveillance Camera System Recommendations

So I've just recently started having neighbour issues, and was thinking about installing some cameras for peace of mind.

I've looked on Costco, and see a lot of mixed reviews on what they sell.
Also browsed around on Amazon, and Best Buy too.
Nest I hear is good, but I don't like the way they do the power, and wifi signal may be weak where the cameras are to be installed.

Best Buy had one system, Q See that I liked. $1600 on sale for $950.
    Model #: QT878-4EZ-2
4 x 4k Ultra HD colour cameras, DVR with 2TB storage, cameras are PoE

I would need 4 cameras max.
    And want PoE.

What is everyone using or recommend?
What price range should I be looking in?

we picked up a pair of Ring spot light cams, were very easy to install and link to phone,

now I can see whats happening any time I want. I think it was just under 500 for the pair of cams, and like 10 bucks a month for them to save your vids

Thanks for starting this thread. I am also looking for recommendations. Have researched all the same ones mentioned and can't decide.

I'm running a Q-see (8)cams 1080P HD-CVI system, purchased about 3 years ago from Costco. Can't be compared to the newer stuff on the market, but the picture quality is still fairly good, including night vision. Most of these brands you see for example: Q-See, Swann, Lorex are consumer grade versions made by Hikvision, Darha and Flir.

The next setup I go with I'll probably piece it together using Hikvision gear.
