anyone ever successfully sued the government (road damage)

This morning I hit a hole that was about the same as hitting the curb at 40kmh... Front wheel looks bent, tire has a huge balloon on the side and I'd be surprised I didn't break the front suspension.

You can't always look for holes on the 401, lots of shit drivers on that road you need to look out for too.

If the local tire place can't fix the wheel or I have a more serious suspension issue. I will need a flatbed.

Sorry to hear whats happened. I know at least some local govt's have a plan (niece made a claim against Toronto last yr for same kinda deal on two day old car) in place where you can submit a claim for an occurrence like that, no idea on provincial. As for the car itself, always amazed how badly a rim can be damaged and the car itself comes through with flying colors, hope yours plays out the same.

take a pic of the road that damaged your car right now

    report it to the municipality

when reporting it ask who you contact for reimbursement....as most municipalities have a program that will cover your repair costs if it can be determined that the city's lack of road maintenance caused your damage

a friend years back got the city of Bowmanville to pay $2000 for a damaged wheel/tire on his Benz
