    Vehicle Safety

Hey guys, with the last changes the MTO has made to safety certification I hear most shops are staying away from modified vehicles. Anyone know of a shop in the GTA east end that isn't afraid of lowering springs and rims?

For lowered aren't the rules straight forward... like no rubbing and nothing really low enough to hang up on the street? Also alignment should be good...

Different sized tires, well... can't you safety it with stock wheels?

Mine is lowered and has 20" wheels (although I'm sure the tire height is factory)... drove by cops ample times, never had an issue. (knock on wood).

Anyone will do it, even the dealer, they cannot refuse you service. The changes aren’t major, suspension needs to have adequate travel and wheels/tires cannot extend past the body, or be smaller than oem.

Be careful where you go. I took the vette to a reputable shop for a certification today. And came back to see that the odometer had 20km on the trip odometer that I zeroed when I dropped the car off, and there were greasy boot prints on the drivers and passenger carpeted mats.
