To Plug or not to Plug..that is the question

So I bought a new set of winter tires and rims for the pickup...well not even 150km in I picked up a screw..
This is the result ����

I know it's damn near close to the sidewall. Proper patch can't be done on it I'm told and I'm sure they are right. Anyways I've ordered another tire just a bummer spending 300 on a new one

Also if buying a set of tires I will not buy through dealership again as they don't have option to buy roadside hazard warranty like crappy tires sells for 8$ a tire or Kal Tire.

Plug or no plug.. what do you think ��

If to close to side wall... no plug... safety first.

Well... if they say it can't be done, then you have your answer. Maybe possible to get it patched and keep it as a spare?

Sorry pics not uploading. Safety first for sure as I've ordered a new tire. Owner of one shop said if it was his he would plug it.. his tire tech said he couldn't patch it.

Plug it if it’s in the tread face, the only reason not to plug is due to flex when being close to the sidewall, but that will only cause the plug to leak, if anything, it won’t cause the tire to blow out.
