Question 2008 Center Console Removal > Looking for Help

    Hi All,

I'd like to remove the center console (has ambient lighting) and wondering what is involved. At a minimum, looks like the shifter knob/boot will have to come off.

If anyone has experience with removal, please let me know how its done. Thx!

In assuming stock based on shift boot.
Shift boot pops in, just grab an edge and lift carefully. Under the arm rest there are two screws on the back side if I remember.
Pop off the radio side trim panels (only the bottom needed to unclip)
Console top will lift out, undo the plugs and the shift boot will fit though the hole.
Bottom part of console, under the carpet of the arm rest are a couple more screws and I believe two at the front under the radio.
Pretty easy and nothing really that I would worry about breaking.

Thanks. Above that I bolded.....when you refer to the radio trim, do you mean the trim at the front that meets at the center console...or the actual plastic sides that run along the tranny tunnel?

The part in red, if I remember it just covers part of the console but I could be wrong. They are just held in with clips, pull straight forward (towards the rear seat) not sideway and the pop off.
