When I was a kid, grandfather moved from here to head Physics dept at a Southern US university town. Some years later, hurricane hit hard enough entire sub division was blocked off with downed trees. Local equipment dealer saw a real opportunity to make crazy profit on chain saws. Sure peeps bought n used them when faced with no other choice, afterwards community banded together and drove him and his family out of business. Just as it was his choice to inflate prices during a time of desperate need, afterwards it was their choice to buy goods n services elsewhere, and they did.
Do unto others......
Opportunity is one thing, scum of the earth is another thing all together.
But yet it's fine for Air Canada to take advantage of the situation.
Saw this on another forum.
Example:
CDG-YYZ, March 16, $3949 direct one way.
FRA-YYZ, March 16, $3170 direct one way.
LHR-YYZ, March 16, $2419 direct one way.
Versus US-based airlines, since they do not fly YYZ direct, it’ll be transfer flights:
CDG-EWR, March 16, $644 USD one way on Delta.
EWR-YYZ, March 16, $102 USD direct one way on AC
FRA-JFK, March 16, $677 USD direct one way on DL
LHR-JFK, March 16, $679 USD direct one way on AA, BA, VA.
Surge pricing by Uber/Lyft is similar but those are businesses - I hope CRA at least sees this and takes their share.
Finally put the F to work and pickup 8 sheets of drywall and a bundle of 2x2's yesterday - replaced a cheezy looking 30 year old drop ceiling with some drywall and a dozen stylish 4" led puck lights - also found some muscles I totally forgot I had...lol Thank god I got a Mitch - tonight getting some blue drywall, tape and plaster and some primer for the high commander...she ain't getting off that easy...shh I still want dinner!

Maybe too late, but prefer using metal studs for ceiling framing. Straighter and doesn’t warp.
Are you doing popcorn ceiling or smooth?
And only 8 sheets of drywall in the F?
