Sometimes I think I should just jump into construction. Love installing hardwood flooring for some reason, the engineered stuff is so much easier than natural stuff. I have a buddy that's unnaturally good at trim work, just need to paint over the joints, no need for DAP lol... Together we could make a pretty good team. Also love doing kitchens, decks, fences, etc... I also know people high-up at the TSSA and WSIB, if that makes a difference LOL. What I like about it is, at the end of the day, you look back at your work and feel proud as fak and my OCD makes for perfect work at the end of the day, even if I have to redo stuff at my own expense. I don't get that feeling in my profession (My current path: IT Director > VP of PMO > CTO).

But whatever, I don't think I could reach 200k + salary installing hardwood flooring for a living.

The only thing I don't like about this industry is the people. I'm sorry but met very few contractors that I'd qualify as "quality people". Show up to work drunk and stoned at 9am, shitty attitude, just overall lazy as fak... Hard to find good help in this field. I hired few people to work in my house and except for one electrician (panel replacement), I had to either redo their work (and not pay them) or have them redo it or help out to get it done. My $12,000 "professionally built" staircase still has a few crooked balusters and I have to redo the trim work.

On another note, the fucking builder asshole who fucking GLUED the trim to the casings should be shot dead a few times over. 2" trim glued, stapled and nailed with 3 INCH NAILS... while the door casing itself isn't secured (the top isn't attached to the sides at all). Load-bearing trim is what I call it LOL Cleaning that up was fun.

Where is this spring people have been talking about?

Glad they changed the wording from global warming to "climate change"... because, simple minds like mine start wondering about it.

Washed up my truck and the wifes car yesterday. Gotta say the black paint on my current ram doesn't seem to be a resilient as my previous ones. Noticing a lot of little scuffs/marks, gonna have to do a correction for sure.

huh. Didn't even know China had a space station
It's still up there, but newest estimates are between March 30 and April 6.

....and we are in the high probability zone. So heads up!

In the Aerospace graphic above, it notes that the yellow represents regions that have a higher probability of debris landing, green labeled areas have a small chance and those in blue have zero probability of debris landing.
