    FACK!
This is my nightmare and also the reason for the post above regarding sump pump system. Sorry to hear man.

Sump pumps are a worthwhile investment, my carpet sucked up 90% of the water, the rest found its way to the drain in my maintenance room.

Looks like the will start by cutting out the first 6” of the drywall (from ground level) one complete wall, partial ceiling, and another partial wall.

I have one, but want to go overkill with two 1/2 hp pumps on dedicated drains and a battery backup with alarm.

If you're going to cut the drywall out like that use a circular saw with a diamond blade set to 1/2" depth. If you run it along a straight edge you can then get a flush cut that you can cover with 6.5" or higher baseboard vs having to patch and mud.

oh shit! sorry to hear about that.

I'm always nervous turning the water on outside for the first time after winter, even though I blow all the lines.

Good advice, I’m not dealing with it Laffs, don’t have time.

Leaving this one to the pros

I would too in that case (forgot you have a couple young ones right? I'm sure that plus business = no time). Hope they get you sorted quickly, this time of year with all the rain and weather we're getting.

Don't take long. If they don't get on it tomorrow I'd recommend telling your insurance company you're renting an industrial fan and dehumidifier and submitting the cost as part of the claim.

If you’re on city water look into a water back up. It’s much more reliable than battery.

Amber alert for a missing 8 year old in Thunder Bay. I do not feel like I was in any immediate danger.
Surely somebody will develop an ap to suppress this stupid alert system.
I didnt get the alert on my phone until 2 hours after they canceled the amber alert.

Seems to be working well. Lol
