Well I finished the damn 3000+ SQ-FT house there's not much more to add. We are doing a pool, deck and maybe a hottub... that's about it.

My neighbour just finished their 100k plus backyard. Months and months and months of cement dust, trucks all over the place. The construction noise is now replaced by gay top 40 music and splashing sounds lol But things are cleaned up again.

Cities should put time limits for construction in developed areas though, shouldn't have to live in dust for 3 years, that's insane!

Permits have an expiry date, if it's that bad it's worth a call to the municipality but those always have all those "glass houses" and "good neighbor" caveats.

Mcmansion builder next door basically has the place finished now (after nearly 2.5 years)...told me yesterday they're not staging the place and putting it up for sale until the market comes back

so it's gonna sit empty until whenever

but....he is hiring a landscaping crew to take care of the yard weekly

they must have gobs of money to sit on that property like that....but we are talking probably $500k difference in sale price that they're holding out for

Wife car was hit Wednesday at 4pm. Called insurance Thursday morning and dropped it off at my body shop at 11am. Just picked the car up. 24 hours later and the car looks better than when I dropped it off. Can't speak highly enough about Metro Collision of Windsor. Honestly worst part is insurance hasn't had a chance to really work yet so I had to pay deductible up front until they get police report.

They're real good, myself, family and friends have used them for a number of years. I know we don't normally associate speed with good work but here it was a nice mix of both.
