If you're removing your stripes go to CT and buy a can of 3m HD Adhesive Remover.

Will it help with the stripes or just residual glue ...the glue is the easy part , started great then half way up the hood it went to a snails pace

It's to help soften up the glue and clean it off the car but are you using a heat gun or hair dryer at all.
