I find it helps look like an "expert" even if I don't honestly believe these do anything to make you more credible. Mostly to laymen which are talent management people that have the power to throw your resume in the garbage if you don't have enough background.

so just FYI when your 7 year old is going to his first eye dr appt. and asks what the eye dr will do. apparently telling him your eyes are like teeth and you have to get rid of your baby ones so the adults can grow in, but they don't fall out on their own so the eye dr has to pull them out...… yeah apparently that's not funny and only makes your 7 year old cry.
