A cat will definitely eat a ton of mice if it has the hunter instinct.

Go buy a bunch of traps and be diligent checking them everyday.

Also try to find where they're getting in and seal it up. I live a block away from a farmland. When the weather gets cold it's time to set traps. Get a couple every winter and the garage is year round. They like to come in under the rubber.

They'll never be gone forever so $2500 is a waste of money. Buy $20 of traps and keep checking emptying them. Use a little bit of peanut butter on the trap. They can't resist peanut butter.

I have those little speakers you plug into a socket.....emits a high pitch noise that keeps the mice away. haven't seen any for years now.

    thanks guys!!
@ Ray- ya i'll try the traps for now- the quote was about 2500 without tax- 2900 in total.
the buggers are actually climbing the brick like spiderman and getting access either through the soffit, weep vent ,and areas without flashing. when I checked the exterior i've got a lot of possible entry points- even saw a dead one on the ground- probably fell to the ground from the second floor. Not only am I trying to deal with this the wifey is stressing me out about this mice- she thinks its a "cleanliness" thing lol.

one thing is good that we caught this early- not too much tunnels in the insulation in the attic- and no noise in the walls for now, basement seems good- noise is just on the ceiling wall from the attic.
