So sorry to hear of your loss. Probably best to let them know though.

Thanks everyone. Was along night. And made the decision to tell the kids this am. My 9 year old took it pretty hard but I’m not sure the 6 year old gets it.

Is he at the vet still? We took our dogs to the crematorium ourselves and waited for their ashes (if you wanted to go that way - chance to say goodbye).

That's rough for sure, sorry to hear, always tough losing a "Family" member which a lot of pets become no question!

We are away till Sunday. Trying to fight the want to back up and head back.

My parents took him to the vet. We won’t keep his ashes but they are making a casting of his paw for us.

FWIW, I'm pretty sure your vet will keep him until you get back. They know it's tough and there is a grieving process.

Post whatever is on your mind!!

Sorry to hear about your pup.. dogs really are something else. My current lil guy is 12 soon and he puts a smile on my face everyday. Don’t beat yourself up.. from my experience dogs prefer to be alone when they pass. Bon Echo is beautiful.. enjoy your time off.

Fuck me... I have to fire a good friend of mine. She moved to my department recently thinking "yay my boss is this guy"... but at the end of the day she isn't working out. I tried to cover for her yesterday but I can't do this. I'm paid to be a leader and my duty is to make sure everything I do is for the good of the company.

This sucks, I have so much stomach acid and just feel like shit. It's not my first firing but this one is tangled up with my "emotions"... normally I'm more robotic with these things.
